DRC requires Dragonfly Reserve preliminary plat revisions; gas utility review and community meeting required

At its April 9 meeting the Development Review Committee required Dragonfly Reserve (Fullers Cross Road East, parcels 1098 & 1106) to revise and resubmit the preliminary plat for staff review. Representatives in attendance included Thomas Skelton (American Civil Engineering), Peter Palermo and Jozef Mergan (Dragonfly Developers LLC).
City engineering flagged Ordinance 24-46 as requiring review by the Lake Apopka Natural Gas District and indicated the development may need natural gas mains installed as part of the subdivision. Planning staff reiterated the requirement for a community meeting before the applicant may proceed to the Planning & Zoning Board.
City Engineer Jim Monahan moved to have the applicant revise and resubmit the Preliminary Plat for staff review only; Building Official Skip Nemecek seconded and the motion carried unanimously 5-0. The motion records no approvals; staff review and compliance with utility review and public-engagement steps are required before subsequent hearing stages.
