West Rusk CCISD awards $51,200 Ag barn upgrades contract to Patton & Hightower

The West Rusk County Consolidated ISD Board of Trustees accepted a bid from Patton & Hightower Construction for $51,200 to perform agricultural barn upgrades at district facilities, the board announced Sept. 15.
"Robert Anderson made the motion to accept the bid from Patton & Hightower Construction for $51,200 for the 24'X20'X12' wash barn with the area cleared, concrete poured, roll-up and walk-through doors, insulated, wired, and plumbed, seconded by Iris Hammontree and unanimously passed." The motion text recorded in the minutes lists the package of work to be completed under the contract.
Four bids were presented for review prior to the vote. Board members did not record any amendment or further discussion on the bid in open session. The award authorizes district administration to proceed with contracting and project scheduling under the scope and price approved by the board.
