At the Aug. 6 meeting the board adopted two ordinances. Ordinance 2026-48 authorizes sale of surplus personal property, specifically 2013 Ford F-250 pickup trucks. Trustee Siddiqui moved the ordinance and the motion was seconded; the board approved the ordinance on a roll-call vote.
The board then adopted Ordinance 2026-49 to amend provisions of Title 10, Chapter 14 of the village code related to licensing and inspection of properties and transfer real estate inspections. During consideration a trustee noted the amendment relates to escrow requirements and said “3% escrow,” a detail cited during the motion discussion. The ordinance passed following a roll-call vote.
Both ordinances were acted on after the board waived first-reading for the items earlier in the meeting to allow immediate adoption.
