Jones introduced a voluntary deferred-compensation 457 plan through MissionSquare, explaining it is tax-deferred, voluntary, and would carry an administrative cost of $25 per enrolled employee per year. Trustees discussed whether the village should cover the $25 annual fee and agreed to a two-year employer subsidy trial; the board then moved to adopt Resolution 20260616 to establish the 457 plan with the initial employer subsidy for the first two years.
