At the Feb. 10 Waxahachie ISD Board meeting trustees approved Consent Agenda Items A–R on a 6–0 vote after a motion from Trustee Debbie Timmermann and second from Trustee Adrian Cooper. The consent package covered routine board business and a set of purchasing and facilities approvals that the Board included on the consent agenda for single-vote approval.
Notable items in the approved consent package and their recorded cost caps include: approval to purchase heat pump and mini-split units for Howard Junior High not to exceed $40,000; renewal of vape detector licenses for secondary campuses with CMC Network Solutions for five years not to exceed $59,400; ceiling tile and grid replacement at Dunaway and Shackelford Elementary Schools at costs not to exceed $282,124 each; Marvin Biomedical Academy wall-covering and carpet removal not to exceed $82,180; and replacement of classroom and hallway flooring at Clift Elementary School not to exceed $428,769. The minutes also record approval of the 2023–2024 TAPR and Targeted Improvement Plans for Marvin Biomedical Academy, Northside Elementary, and Finley Junior High School.
