Public Works Director Ranieri updated the board that crews are removing the old fixtures and foundations on DesPlaines Avenue this week as part of the roadway lighting upgrade. Utility Dynamics installed new foundations; conduit was directional bored and new wiring from the controller to individual pole locations has been installed.
Ranieri told the board that new overhead and pedestrian lights are being installed and that ComEd decommissioned the old street lights and connected the new controller. Temporary lane closures are occurring during installation. Trustee Tricoci had specifically asked for this update earlier in the meeting and Director Ranieri provided the construction status.
