The Paramount Planning Commission voted to adopt Resolution PC26024 approving Conditional Use Permit 1003 for an indoor softball training facility proposed by Natalie Luna and Edgar Cervantes (Innis by Luna) at Garfield Industrial Park.
Planning staff described the suite layout (2,802 square-foot suite within a 47,480-square-foot site), the proposed training areas (1,806 sq ft practice area and a 300 sq ft hitting area with artificial turf), and site controls such as 10-foot safety netting and hours intended to avoid conflicts with other tenants. "They're proposing one-on-one and small group lessons with no more than six youths per hour-long session," the planning intern said while recommending approval with conditions that include removal or relocation of window security bars and landscaping refurbishments.
Applicant and coach Natalie Luna outlined coaching experience and emphasized small group sizes and affordability. Commissioners expressed support for youth programming, and the resolution was adopted by roll call.
