The Paramount Planning Commission on a unanimous roll call vote adopted Resolution PC26023 to approve Conditional Use Permit 988, allowing Tacos El Fogon at 7351 Rosecrans Ave., Unit F, to add eight indoor seats and up to 24 outdoor seats under a retractable awning.
Staff presented the proposal as an expansion at a multi-tenant commercial property and said the site meets zoning requirements. "There are a total of 57 spaces on the property…so there's sufficient parking by our code regulations," the associate planner explained while recommending approval. The staff report noted the restaurant has operated on the site since 2014 and that beer-and-wine service had not been implemented by the prior tenant.
During the public hearing no members of the public spoke for or against the application. Applicant Enrique Alvarez of Alvarez Design Studios confirmed acceptance of the conditions and said the sign would be changed to match the rest of the building. The commission recorded unanimous affirmative votes in the roll call and the resolution was adopted.
