Selectboard asks for inspection on obsolete kitchen suppression system; ILMCO quilt request deferred pending building safety review

The Selectboard discussed the Community Room kitchen, which serves as the town's emergency shelter, after being told the fire-suppression system is obsolete. Chair Peter Brzozowy said he will contact G&E Extinguishers to evaluate the suppression system and provide a repair quote; the town has asked for clarification about what 'obsolete' means before committing to repairs.
Separately, Sylvia Jensen (speaking for ILMCO) requested permission to hang an 'ILM Life' quilt on the north side of the Old Town Hall, move a bench to the porch and re-hang the wooden map on the building's front. Joe Deller and other board members said it would be premature to proceed given the earlier SHKS evaluation of the Old Town Hall; the board tabled the ILMCO request pending further review of the building's safety.
