Selectboard appoints Justice of the Peace and swears in Selectboard clerk; personnel policy reviews tabled

At the April 2 meeting the board moved to appoint Karen Brunner as a Justice of the Peace after she volunteered to serve. The motion was made by Chair Peter Brzozowy and seconded by Pat Treckman; the appointment was approved by the Selectboard.
Debra Langlois was sworn in as Selectboard Clerk during the meeting. The board tabled review of Purchasing and Personnel policies to give members time for a more thorough examination and deferred further discussion of a Selectboard Office Assistant job description to the next meeting.
