Caregiver handouts, infographics and multilingual toolkits highlighted for libraries

Benny Finch highlighted the National Institute on Aging's downloadable publications and a "caregiver's handbook" PDF that libraries can print or distribute. Finch said the NIA site includes publications, infographics, videos and a multimedia toolkit with social-media assets and sharable flyers that libraries can adapt for outreach.
Finch demonstrated searching for multilingual resources on the NIA site and on MedlinePlus, and pointed attendees to community resource links such as the elder care locator and area agencies on aging. He suggested using infographics and social-media toolkits for campaigns addressing social isolation and caregiver self-care and recommended that libraries check language availability when preparing materials for local audiences.
