Director White presented a rezoning request to change a 0.55-acre parcel at 3141 North Hastings Way from R-2 (residential) to C-3 (commercial) so the applicant can expand an existing food-truck court that operates on an adjacent lot. White said the parcel is vacant, the future-land-use map shows a commercial frontage and the plan commission recommended approval because the rezoning is consistent with the comp plan.
White said staff and the city/county health department have been working with the operator to ensure current operations comply with requirements and noted screening and site-plan requirements will be enforced if the rezoning proceeds. No members of the public signed up to speak on this rezoning during the hearing.
