Contractor outlines Phase 4 water‑main work, says project will run through year

Meredith Cruz, the firm's public‑relations lead, told the commission, “So, the water main improvements will enhance the water flow and the fire protection and also replace the fire hydrants on the west side of the roadway.”
Cruz described a three‑phase schedule, two‑week flagging operations and daily cone placement to indicate continuing work. The contractor said it has been doing door‑to‑door outreach and will fund a town mailer to notify residents; Clark Scribe said the team will post monthly progress updates on the town website. On concerns about sidewalks, the contractor said any sidewalks damaged during construction will be replaced, and they will coordinate daily packing up during certain flagging operations to reduce disruption.
Commissioners asked about lane closures during the December high season; the contractor said the work should be wrapped up by then but cautioned weather and unforeseen underground conditions could cause delays. The commission thanked the team and said staff will request periodic updates if needed.
