The Town of Shandaken Zoning Board of Appeals on May 20 voted to accept the minutes from its previous meeting, then scheduled two public hearings for next month. A motion to schedule a hearing on Verizon’s telecommunications application carried by voice vote; the hearing was set for June 17 at 6:45 a.m. The board also scheduled a hearing for Pat McGahn’s special-permit/setback application at the next meeting and verbally confirmed a 6:30 p.m. start time.
Board members also noted receipt of a resolution from another board declaring intent to serve as lead agency for environmental review (SEQRA) and indicated they would not serve as the lead agency for that review. The meeting concluded after a staff announcement about May 30 community engagement meetings for the town comprehensive plan and an adjournment vote.
