Jessica Childs, a homeowner on Winnie Road, told the board she was awarded RUPCO funding for an accessory dwelling unit and wanted to confirm what documents were required for a complete application.
"I applied for the RUPCO plus 1 ADU program, and I was awarded that money," Childs said, asking what grading and drainage plans she would need to include. She said the proposed ADU would be a roughly 700‑square‑foot cottage on an 8.4‑acre lot with an existing house, septic and well.
Board members and staff told Childs that she needs a surveyor's contours and single‑line drawings; the board can approve a sketch plan contingent on Department of Health and DEP septic approvals and any necessary septic upgrades. Staff asked for photographs and a clear site map; Childs said her engineer has designed the septic field to accommodate the additional unit.
Next steps: Childs will prepare contours/survey and photographs and return at the May meeting with the checklist items to enable conditional approval pending agency permits.
