Trustees also ratified an escrow agreement tied to public-infrastructure repairs: the board approved a resolution ratifying an agreement that placed $100,000 into an escrow account with MCC Network Services to secure payment for public infrastructure repairs. The village attorney explained the ratification was necessary because the funding agreement required action between meetings; the board voted to ratify that funding so the roadwork could proceed. "This is just a ratification because of the timing and in between meetings in order to get the money funded so you can get the road project going," the attorney said.
