Washington Borough’s Sustainably Green Music & Arts Festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the Farmers Market will open the same day with hours 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Green Team volunteers committed to staffing shifts (volunteers available from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) and will staff under the Washington BID tent rather than setting up a separate tent.
Kristy Romanowski secured a free EBT card machine for the Washington BID and ordered wooden tokens that vendors will accept; farmers will be reimbursed weekly. The market is signed up for the Good Food Bucks program, which provides $10,000 in matching funds for produce purchases and a $500 advertising allotment.
