Whitney ISD recognizes staff, students and awards Safe Sport School honor

Staff members of the month named were Delores Dollar (Elementary), Steve Slaughter (Intermediate), Kristin Harris‑McGill (Middle School, not present) and Alex Richters (High School). Students of the month named included Everlee West, Madelyn Hollins, Addysen Girsh, Jonas Abrego and Stanley Means.
Athletic Trainer Andy Rankin announced that Whitney High School received the Safe Sport School Award; David Haynes also recognized Rankin in honor of Athletic Trainer Appreciation Week. No public debate or votes were associated with the recognitions.
The recognitions were ceremonial and recorded on the agenda under Presentations; the board did not take formal action beyond acknowledgement and presentation of plaques.
