Village reviews bids for new office computers and phone equipment

Trustee Van Zeyl told the Committee the village is reviewing pricing for new computers for the administrator, clerk and treasurer offices and has contacted a vendor named Titanium for pricing. "The trustees would like to see bids from other vendors to be sure we are receiving the best pricing," Van Zeyl said.
Van Zeyl also said the village is receiving pricing for new phone equipment and that Comcast will provide lease pricing for replacement phones for the current voice-over-IP system. The committee will evaluate quotes and decide whether to lease or purchase the new phones; no procurement decision was made at the Sept. 3 meeting.
The discussion contained no dollar figures or vendor quotes beyond the names Titanium and Comcast. The committee asked staff to gather competitive bids and return with cost comparisons at a future meeting.
