Trustee says lake treatment may be delayed while Illinois EPA permit is pending

"Wisconsin Lake and Pond still has not received permit approval from the Illinois EPA to treat the lake. Treatment will be pushed until spring if approval is not granted within the next 3 to 4 weeks," Van Zeyl said.
The comment came during committee notes review; no formal vote accompanied the update. The village is awaiting regulatory clearance before treatments can proceed, and the timeline given by the trustee indicates the village expects a decision within roughly a month. If the permit is delayed beyond that window, the committee indicated treatment would be deferred to the next appropriate seasonal window in spring.
