BID reports centennial celebration, Veterans Park work and $11,500 county grant

Kristy Romanowski, Executive Director of the BID, updated council on local business-district activity and community events during the May 19 meeting.
Romanowski said the BID celebrated 100 years in business with an event at Fliegaufs, where Mayor Cox presented a proclamation and the group received resolutions from state senators and a note from Warren County Commissioners. She reported the paving project at Veterans Park has begun and that Fred Fleming will provide a native-plant design. The BID received an $11,500 county grant to support work in the business district, Romanowski said, and a public mural is being prepped and expected to be painted by the following week. She encouraged stakeholders to attend BID meetings, which will now be held at borough hall.
The BID also noted that the Farmers Market is scheduled to begin June 13.
