Library reports strong turnout for Medicare talk; Summer Reading Kick-off set for June 17

In her director's report Heidi Kaiven said the recent Medicare program was well attended with about 27 people and that the presenter has been invited to return in the fall. NORWESCAP has launched computer classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays with roughly six regular attendees, and those programs run during normal operational hours without appreciably affecting public computer availability.
The library will host its Summer Reading Kick-off on June 17 at 2:00 p.m.; the program will feature Zoophoria and a town-wide scavenger hunt with raffle-ticket incentives for participants. Staff are also working to start a "1,000 Books Before Kindergarten" program and to find a speaker related to the town's 250th-anniversary activities.
