Highway foreman reports Polk Southeast bridge complete; several grading and culvert projects planned

Highway Foreman Ericson updated the Polk County Board on road and bridge activity on July 28. He reported the Polk Southeast bridge project is complete and that grading on G Road near the bridge has been finished. Ericson said a small bridge near 127th Road and N Road between Osceola and Stromsburg will be replaced with culverts.
Ericson also said Mid States will core the existing concrete road east of Lone Star and the two miles running west from Lone Star; U Road running south from Lone Star needs grading; and the Polk elevator road is being graded as weather and conditions permit. The report included machine-utilization information but no budget figures were recorded in the minutes.
