Sunbury staff presented a proposed city entry sign developed with an outside design firm and asked the Services Committee for feedback on the concept and scale. The recommended design is a three-dimensional brick sign with a cupola and white lettering on a green background; staff said it would be used at entry points rather than citywide and that smaller, complementary park signs would be produced.
Daryl said the design balances maintainability and aesthetics and noted that staff will return with cost estimates and refinements after collecting parks-committee input. "I love this design. I could see this sitting outside the city easily," Daryl said during the presentation. Committee members asked about approximate dimensions, materials, and whether a white background would get dirty over time; staff said they did not yet have exact dimensions and will provide cost and sizing details in follow-up materials.
