Regional staff and partners used the March 4 meeting to preview upcoming training and outreach activities, including a CNA class, a local 'Workforce Wednesday' panel and new labor market surveys.
April Best said the 'Places to Work' event and a Bridges to Health Care CNA class are coming up. "Bridges to health care CNA class coming up," she said. Chris D., the workforce strategy consultant, asked for one more manufacturing panelist for a Workforce Wednesday session planned for April 1 on generational differences in the workplace. Amanda Blaschko noted two recent surveys — a job‑search survey and a statewide manufacturing business conditions survey — that will inform local outreach.
Staff encouraged board members to help recruit a manufacturing panelist and to share the surveys with employer partners. No formal action was taken; these announcements were informational.
