Council also unanimously adopted Resolution 26‑30 reaffirming the city’s participation in the Tar River Hazard Mitigation Plan, last revised in 2021; Fire Chief Tim Twisdale explained that adoption is routine and required to preserve eligibility for federal disaster‑related funding.
Both actions were approved by recorded votes and referenced the applicable resolution books in the minutes.
