The Shelter Island Union Free School District Board of Education approved the National Honor Society’s overnight Cardboard Campout fundraiser, set for 6:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2024 through 6:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, to be held on school property.
Janine Mahoney, NHS advisor, said this will be the 14th annual campout and that students who participate must raise $100 each to be donated to Habitat for Humanity; Mahoney and Mr. Conrardy will serve as volunteer chaperones. The board approved the overnight field trip by motion.
