Engineer: sewer grant decisions expected Nov. 2025–Jan. 2026; CDBG public hearing will be required

Brendon Becker of Lamont Engineering told the board the town is waiting for determinations on two potential funding sources for the local sewer project and that decisions should arrive between November 2025 and January 2026.
"They are currently waiting for the decisions on two funding avenues in regard to the sewer project. The determination of the grants should be received between November 2025 and January 2026," Becker advised. Becker and Councilwoman Wendy Adams Rosa also discussed the Community Development Block Grant program as a possible source for facilities updates and noted another public hearing will be required if the town pursues that CDBG funding.
The board did not set a firm schedule for additional hearings at the meeting; no dollar amounts or awarded grants were recorded in the minutes.
