Staff told the commission the survey collected roughly 540 responses, and after removing unverifiable entries staff estimated about 394 verified responses from city residents, of which staff said 92% were in favor of the project and 32 verified respondents opposed it. "So that means it's with roughly 400 verified 1st name, last name, email, phone number, the 7. 6 of those responses did not live inside the city of Sheryl," the staff member explained when describing verification results.
The staff member said the commission had previously pulled the publication to allow additional conversation at the request of one commissioner but that the direction now is to publish the full survey data. "The direction from the commission is to publish it. It will be put out in tomorrow's email blast and in tomorrow's Facebook page," the staff member said. Commissioners agreed publication would help inform the public ahead of the next meeting when a bond resolution is expected to be presented.
