CESA 10 says phase 1 referendum work near completion; phase 2 items to go to bid in November

The Boyceville Community School District Board of Education on Nov. 5 heard an update from Luke Schultz of CESA 10 on the status of projects funded by the district’s facilities referendum. Schultz said many phase 1 items are near completion, listing roofing, phase 1 flooring, water heaters, lighting, exterior improvements, an elevator upgrade, science casework, track patching and restriping, controls upgrades and other mechanical work.
Schultz told the board that multiple phase 2 projects are scheduled to be advertised for bid in November, including bus garage upgrades, career and technical education improvements, cement repairs, a District Office vestibule window, additional flooring, gym and locker-room renovations, restroom upgrades, student lockers and painting. The update was presented as part of a work session; no new referendum funding decisions were made. Board members later authorized the superintendent to approve in-scope bids for referendum projects, a step the board said is intended to help keep phase 2 work on schedule.
