Franklin County commissioners voted to approve rezoning application 2605-0079 (Ferris Trust) to rezone roughly 34.5 acres and create two lots in the county's RE district.
Planning staff described the property as located at "2380 O, Idaho Road," said notices were sent to nine surrounding property owners and reported one written comment opposing further subdivision to preserve rural character. Staff also told the board that Water District 4 submitted a letter confirming it can provide water service to both proposed lots. The planning commission recommended approval prior to the commission meeting.
A motion to approve rezoning application 2605-0079 was made, seconded and approved in a recorded roll call. Commissioners did not add conditions beyond the planning commission recommendation during the hearing.
The rezoning will allow the owner to split the site and create two RE lots consistent with staff testimony and the planning commission's recommendation.
