"We currently have 1 27 open claims with 48 pending at the VA," Roberts told commissioners. He said his new office location, effective Aug. 24, requires a dedicated internet line for VPN access and will cost $140 a month — roughly $82 more than the current cost — and that his budget can absorb the difference for the coming year. Roberts also described outreach plans and training for staff recertification in September.
The report was informational; commissioners asked clarifying questions about inter‑county arrangements and service coordination but no board action was required.
