Chair (S2) reported staff changes: Christina will be out on leave and the town has Federico helping part-time and a new accounting clerk, Ashley Samwalt. The board asked for patience during staff training and advised the public to approach staff with kindness if posting errors occur while new staff learn processes.
The board also discussed an employee handbook overhaul aimed at the first quarter, and Chair (S2) said consultant work has identified inconsistencies to be removed from the code and transferred into a handbook. "We're shooting for 1st quarter this year for the employee handbook to be updated," Chair (S2) said, and the board discussed legal and procedural steps needed to adopt the handbook and remove overlapping code provisions.
Separately, committee members described contractor-license enforcement gaps, including the potential to add license-sticker requirements and to give the review board the ability to levy fines or pull licenses. Committee member (S3) said the current process leaves homeowners bearing consequences of contractor behavior and recommended strengthening code language to provide enforcement tools.
