Council adopts ordinance exempting pension-board members from term limits
Summary
On April 14 the Rolling Meadows City Council adopted Ordinance No. 26-08, exempting members of the Board of Trustees of the City’s Pension Fund from term limitations. The ordinance passed on second reading by a 5–0 roll call vote.
Mayor Pro-Tem Koehler read Ordinance No. 26-08 into the record and Alderperson O’Brien moved adoption on second reading. Alderperson Vinezeano seconded the motion. Roll call voting recorded ayes from Vinezeano, Reyez, Koehler, Budmats and O’Brien with no nays and two members absent; the ordinance was adopted.
The ordinance amends Section 2-662 of the Rolling Meadows City Code to exempt members of the Board of Trustees of the City’s Pension Fund from term limitations. The council took the vote on April 14, 2026; no amendments or conditions were recorded in the minutes.
