At its June 22 meeting the Long Beach Island Board of Education approved financial reports, certified no budgetary line-item over-expenditures as of May 31, 2026, and approved the June bills list totaling $310,552.17.
The board authorized the School Business Administrator to make transfers necessary to balance the 2025–2026 school budget for approval at the July meeting and adopted a resolution to transfer up to $2,500,000 into Capital Reserve, $300,000 into Maintenance Reserve and $250,000 into Emergency Reserve under the authority of N.J.S.A. 18A:21-2 and related statutes. The motions were approved by roll call vote.
Meghan Lee certified the SBA statement of no over-expenditure as of May 31, 2026 and presented the Secretary and Treasurer reports for approval.
