City announces staff shifts; two planning commission terms to expire in October

Staff briefed the commission on personnel changes at the start of the meeting. The city noted that City Attorney Kurt Christiansen—s last day is next week and that Assistant City Attorney Monique Cody will serve as interim city attorney beginning after Aug. 13. Roxanne Holland introduced herself as Sedona—s new public works director and city engineer and explained she will handle development engineering work previously overseen by Sandra Phillips. Staff also said Eric Metz, a professional engineer from the private sector, will serve as a new engineering reviewer.
Staff also reminded commissioners that two seats (Commissioners Martin and Gajewski) will expire at the end of October and that a press release and application packet will be available for interested community members; current commissioners who wish to reapply need only notify the city clerk—s office and need not complete a full application packet.
