Supervisor Kevin Rode told the board the Cold Springs Sewer District formation process is being restarted to address earlier issues with bonding documentation; he said the project exceeds $7 million and that bonding is anticipated by mid-September. New notices were mailed and a public hearing was scheduled to ensure compliance with New York State Comptroller requirements under Article 12A of Town Law.
At the meeting the board authorized advertisement for the hearing (RES#127/2026 and RES#143/2026) and later voted to move the hearing time to 4:00 PM on July 31, 2026 to accommodate newspaper publishing timelines (RES#146/2026). The board emphasized the restart is procedural to ensure all statutory and bonding requirements are met before financing the project.
