Board approves student handbooks and expands 4YK to five days a week

On March 19 the Flambeau School District Board approved the 2025–26 student handbooks for 4YK–5 and 6–12 and voted to change the 4YK program to be offered five days per week. Motions to approve the handbooks and the schedule change carried 6-0. During discussion the board asked about managing traffic and crowding at sporting events and discussed using gates to block lockers and hallways.
Separately, the board held extended discussion about proposed updates to the 2025–26 Athletic Code and opted to table the Athletic Code approval, requesting paper copies that compare the old and new versions for more thorough review at a future meeting. The handbooks and schedule change were approved while the Athletic Code remains under review.
