At 8:40 p.m. during its March 13, 2025 work session the Flambeau School District Board of Education moved into closed session to review superintendent applicants. Board member Lana Nelson made the motion, seconded by Doug Verdegan, citing Wisconsin statute as the legal basis for a closed session: "pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(c),(e),(f), and/or (g), as appropriate, to review the applicants for the Superintendent." A roll-call vote recorded Laura Dutter-Nelson, Brian Beardsley, Linda Zimmer, Lana Nelson, Jennifer Heath, Ted Alberson and Doug Verdegan voting "Yes." The motion carried 7-0.
The minutes indicate the board may adjourn the meeting from closed session at its conclusion. The public record for the open session was signed by Clerk Linda Zimmer.
