Princeton ISD ends contract with Perdue and hires Abernathy firm for delinquent-tax collections

At the May 19 meeting the board voted to terminate its contingent-fee contract with Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins & Mott, LLP, which had handled the district's collection of delinquent taxes and government receivables. Duane Kelly moved to terminate the contract; John Campbell seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Immediately afterward the board approved a contingent-fee agreement with Abernathy, Roeder, Boyd & Hullett for the same purpose. Cyndi Darland moved to approve the new contract; Duane Kelly seconded and trustees voted unanimously to authorize the law firm.
