Flambeau School Board moves into closed session to review superintendent applicants

The Flambeau School District Board of Education voted to enter a closed session at 5:34 p.m. on March 4 to review applicants for the superintendent. The motion was made by Lana Nelson and seconded by Jennifer Heath; a roll-call vote recorded Laura Dutter-Nelson, Brian Beardsley, Linda Zimmer, Lana Nelson, Jennifer Heath and Ted Alberson voting "Yes." The motion carried 6-0.
The minutes state the closed session was held "pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(c),(e),(f), and/or (g), as appropriate, to review the applicants for the Superintendent." The document also records that "At the conclusion of the closed session, the Board may entertain a motion to adjourn the meeting from closed session." The meeting record lists Board member Doug Verdegan as absent and notes that no others were present.
