The board voted July 14 not to charge student fees or athletic participation fees for the 2025–26 school year.
"Motion to not charge student fees for the 2025-26 school year," said Mark Elmhorst when moving the student-fee measure; Erica Bender seconded and the voice vote carried. Separately, the board passed a motion to not charge athletic fees for the coming year and approved the 2025–26 Athletic Code/Handbook.
Board members noted staffing gaps remain: the district is still recruiting an athletic director and a C-team volleyball coach. The policy choices mean activities and class participation will be offered without per-student fees for the coming year, but the minutes do not detail how the district will budget for lost fee revenue.
