Trenton Square construction, utilities and off-site work move forward; splash pad grant reimbursed

City Manager Marcos Nichols provided a series of project updates including Trenton Square, collector roads and off-site improvements. He said the parking lot is scheduled for the first week of August, block masons are installing interior walls and exterior brick, and the building is on track to be dried in by early September. Nichols also reported curb, base and intermediate asphalt installed on collector roads and that Duke Energy is on site pulling electrical service and has installed the transformer at the City building.
Nichols said gas installation is scheduled to begin in October, street lights will be installed along Edgewood Drive, and grading for sidewalks and ADA ramps is underway. He reported the city received a $50,000 ODNR grant reimbursement for the splash pad and that the splash pad used approximately one million gallons of water during roughly its first month of operation. Traffic light poles have been delivered and stop bars and temporary paint will follow.
