During visitor comments, Sean Clark, representing the American Legion, asked the Board to consider adopting a veterans tax exemption and noted a statutory timing constraint. "The deadline for adopting this exemption to take place in 2026 is March 1, 2025 so the Board of Education would need to vote on it at the next Board Meeting," Clark said.
Board members appeared generally favorable to the request. Superintendent Dr. Brian Doelger said he would look into the exemption and hoped to have a proposal ready for the Board’s Feb. 10 meeting. The public comment followed other remarks including a parent’s praise for the School’s Employee of the Month.
