Irwin council to restart zoning overhaul using Title 10 as model

Jay Rice, P&Z administrator, advised the council that the city's zoning ordinance needs to be restarted and recommended using Title 10 as the basis for the rewrite.
"Jay advised we need to start over updating our zoning ordinance and the Title 10 Zoning Ordinance is the best one for us to base ours on. Geoffrey has a copy to redline. Will send a draft when ready. Kelly will email current copy of Title 10 to council members," the minutes state.
The council agreed to begin work on a nuisance ordinance before tackling the full development and zoning code updates. Geoffrey (first name only in the minutes) is identified as having a redline copy; Kelly Palmer is tasked with distributing Title 10 to council members for review.
