The Wheaton City Council approved Resolution R‑2026‑18 to award Agreement No. 602 to Alliance Contractors, Inc. for the Wheaton Roosevelt Road sidewalk and pedestrian bridge improvements project for a total amount not to exceed $335,013 plus a 10% contingency. City Manager Michael Dzugan said four bids were received and the project will complete sidewalk connectivity on Roosevelt Road from County Farm to Lorraine.
Dzugan confirmed the project is supported by a $250,000 grant and that capital project fund reserves will cover the additional cost. Council recorded a unanimous roll call vote to adopt the resolution.
