She recommended using the on‑call contractor to avoid the delays and costs of separate competitive bidding for this time‑sensitive repair.
"We recommend the approval of the replacement in the amount not to exceed $29,937.80 to ensure the continued safe operations at this intersection," Boyse said. Staff noted the replacement is essentially like‑for‑like and that broader intersection improvements could be considered later as part of larger reconstruction projects.
A committee member moved to take the item on consent; the recommendation was recorded as consent.
