Jackson County schedules Sept. 22 hearing on updated zoning ordinance

Staff said the redline draft is useful for internal review but recommended posting a clean copy for public consumption to reduce confusion.
Board members and staff discussed the benefit of referring to the Iowa Code for statutory language rather than duplicating provisions in the county ordinance. Planners said conditional-use permit updates will be considered by the board of adjustment and the public hearing to consider the full zoning update is scheduled for Sept. 22 at 7 p.m.
