Planning Board to consider 34-unit CATCH Housing project and Dollar General application

Warner's Land Use Administrator told the Select Board that the Planning Board will consider a 34-unit CATCH Housing proposal on Map 35 Lot 43 and a Dollar General commercial application on Map 35 Lot 41; both will appear on the Planning Board agenda Aug. 3, 2026.
Margaret Bastien, Land Use Administrator, told the Select Board she is working on two Planning Board cases in the intervale district: a proposed 34-unit CATCH Housing development on Map 35 Lot 43 (application accepted in June) and a proposed Dollar General store on Map 35 Lot 41 (accepted July 6, 2026). Both matters are scheduled for the Planning Board meeting on Aug. 3, 2026 and will require formal action through that board and, if zoning changes are proposed, by voter ballot.
Bastien said she is preparing the 2027 Land Use budget and described her office hours: she has been working generally 9 a.m. to noon or 1 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and comes in Thursday afternoons; Chair Alfred Hanson asked that those hours be posted on the town website. Bastien said she is "feeling more comfortable in her role as Land Use Administrator," according to the minutes.
The minutes note the CATCH Housing application was accepted in June and needs action; the Dollar General application was accepted July 6 and will likely require Planning Board review and potential subsequent Select Board or ballot steps if zoning is implicated.
