Chair Alfred Hanson opened the public hearing at 6:03 p.m.; resident Ed Mical told the board the work is overdue and cited health and safety concerns. After closing the hearing, the board approved withdrawing $33,788 from the DPW Facility Improvement CRF and $6,085 from the Transfer Station Facility Project CRF. Each motion passed by roll call vote: Smith YES, Bixby YES, Hanson YES.
The minutes note the withdrawals are from Capital Reserve Funds and that Blanchette clarified the work is not related to the town's insurance claim and is not covered by insurance. Blanchette also said the department previously was cited for not having a working eyewash station. The board did not attach further conditions to the funding; Blanchette said he has a meeting the next day to discuss related issues.
